OH GOD THE GUY I’M KIND OF INTO JUST TEXTED ME BACK WHAT DO I DOOOO I AM TWENTY SOMETHING THIS SHOULDN’T BE A PROBLEM I HAVE
Still I feel I got to run away with this love...: Equality.
If you’re a feminist and you want equal rights, then you do not complain when a man hits you. I do not approve of domestic abuse, but you can’t complain about a man hitting you, if you want to be considered an equal. You either fully believe in equality or you accept men and women are different.
the choice is yours. I will lose respect for you if you believe both genders should be equal unless a man hits you and you complain.
Okay princess, listen up:
If a man hits me, and it is because we are in a fucking fist fight then, no, I’m not going to complain. I am not going to throw punches and then turn around and play the “you can’t hit me! I’m a girl!” card if he throws one back.
If a man hits me and I have a relationship with that man in any way, and he lashes out because of anger, stress, poor impulse control, etc. then I am going to say something because that is where the power is in this situation. The abuser (in many situations) is trying to assert a position of power or dominance. Making a complaint, reporting it, saying “he hit me and he can’t do that” isn’t weak, it’s taking your power back because he hit you and he can’t do that because you are not weaker than him and he can’t make you feel that way.
And talking about equality? It’s the same if a woman hits a man. Asserting dominance and power, and, ironically, the power behind “I’m a woman so you can’t hit me back.” And he should complain. Report it. Say “she him me and she can’t do that.” Because reporting her wouldn’t put him in a position of being better or more than her, just the equal standings there should be.
What’s sexist about any of this is that a man is probably less likely to be taken seriously about his complaint because of the sexism toward woman influencing people into thinking men can’t be abused or raped, especially not by women. Which is wrong.
To sum up
- (me + man) + fistfight = Okay, wearing a brown coat in an Alliance-friendly bar on Unification Day and insulting a drunken rambler was not my best idea ever.
- me + (man + abuse) = report it, because I am not less than you because we are equals
- man + (me + abuse) = report it, because he is not less than me because we are equals
And just so you get it
Domestic abuse:
- Man on woman -> NEVER OKAY
- Woman on man -> NEVER OKAY
- Woman on woman -> NEVER OKAY
- Man on man -> NEVER OKAY

I feel this is an accurate depiction of Tumblr (or at least the Glee/StarKid portion of Tumblr)’s reactions toward everything Darren Criss does.
Ever.
i wonder if they’ll actually address the whole “you need 12 members in the glee club to compete” thing this year
Pretty sure in Season 1 when there was Sue’s Kids they said you could have different groups from the same school compete separately as long as all together you have 12 or more.
I think that it was that you have to have 12+ in your team, but not all of them have to be part of every number (i.e. solos/duets with no back-up, an all-girls/boys, etc.) I believe the “intent” (Sue has ulterior motives, obviously) of Sue vs. Will was that they’d remain one group (New Directions), but each would come up with a performance for their group and then use the entire group as a whole for the third.
Shelby and Will registered their groups as two separate teams.
What is the world is that face?
